Another Ljubljanica River faced place worth mentioning is Livada, a big restaurant that in summer offers huge terrace. Its speciality are a lot of Slovenian mainly meat dishes and of those Ljubljana’s speciality fried frogs hind legs.

Even though waiters are not the best and sometimes they look quite fed up with the job, it is a charming place. Definitely the most romantic thing to do is to come there by boat which operates in summers. Livada is also a neighbourhood of smaller houses and a lot of canoe and kayak clubs.

This really quiet part of the city is already geographically opening towards the south, towards Ljubljansko Barje marshes.
